We've started a FAQ section!

VAT Changes on 4th January 2011 (23rd December 2010)

All card payments are usually "pre-authorised" and payment taken when we ship the order.

Due to VAT change on 4th January 2011, VAT of 17.5% can only be applied if:

either: Takings received before 4th January 2011

or: Goods are sent before 4th January 2011.

We are closed during the remaining period for 17.5%, so no goods can be sent before 4th.

We will therefore temporarily change how the card payments are received:

from: "Pre-authorise Transactions"

to: "Charge Transactions Immediately"

This will satisfy the "takings received before 4th January 2011"

and therefore we can continue to hold the VAT at 17.5% upto and including the 3rd January 2011.

From 4th January 2011, VAT will be 20% and payments will revert to "pre-authorise".
